Informative Speech About Art Therapy - 809 Words
Introduction ATTENTION STRATEGY: I tell the audience of my experience trying to choose a career and start with pointing out the obvious struggle of finding the right career for them and everyone else. I will also include a personal piece about my experience of struggling to find the right career for me through school so far. CENTRAL IDEA: Art Therapy is not a common career choice when looking at popular jobs in the workforce; however, it is both a very interesting psychological and artistic career. PURPOSE STATEMENT: I want to bring awareness to this interesting career and hopefully inform more people about its potential outcomes. SIGNIFICANCE: Information on this career can help broaden peopleââ¬â¢s perspectives and help them to lookâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦II. There are many great benefits for people who are treated through Art Therapy. Art Therapy can be used for different purposes for different people. Some of these purposes are for people seeking help through counseling or therapy. In addition to this, it can also apply to people going through either rehabilitation and other healing purposes. It applies to many different age groups, from children to older people. When children are presented with Art Therapy, it may be geared towards creative style and imagination. The age groups of teens to adults may be more commonly geared towards recovery from trauma, dealing with depression, and even discovering their inner-selves. The older age group may have more people looking to exercise their mental health and expressing their creativity. Of course, all of these age groups can accomplish any of these forms of Art Therapy, regardless of age. The main idea is experience and mentality. TRANSITIONAL STATEMENT: Now that you know a lot about how Art Therapy affects others, this brings me to my third main point. III. Art Therapy is an interesting career choice for anyone who is thinking about traveling down the pathway. The field of Therapy through Art pays a little above the average wage of an American depending on your field of expertise and commitment.
